This original painting is my first self portrait. I created it a few years back when my life was in turmoil.
Little did I know my life and myself, as I knew them, where beginning to unravel.I understand now, that back then when I was struggling, I would shave off my hair .In part to cut away my femininity to make me feel stronger.
I would put on my imaginary armour woven by ego and fear.Despite not actually finishing this piece yet - I see the perfect in my imperfectness' see the flow of life in the subtle layers , allowing myself to make changes as and when I feel called too
